The Wilmer Mercantile and Gnome painting gives you the location perspective of 5 historic buildings in Wilmer with the Courthouse on the upper left, the Gold Commissioner’s Building below and in the foreground on the left is the Delphine Lodge and addition with the Wilmer Mercantile on the right. The famous Wilmer Gnome is highlighted in the centre wearing his Fall harvest apparel. Bear mountain anchors the background and the subtle green in the sky repeats itself down through the landscape before dropping to be the outline of the Gnome. The yellow/orange compliments the blue/violet as the 2 favourite pigments at play with secondary’s coming in to help push them around and create some highlighting. Landform transitions are subtly shown in the smoke coming from the Delphine Lodge and warm/cool colours above the buildings. Doodle art is present in the foreground as dots which happens when Pat is shifting into his intuitive mode of expression. Are you noticing the green ovoids?
