The Court House and Gold Commissioner’s Building painting has the wind and water element in the sky which is responding to the landform below and reflects on Bavin’s years of practicing Feng Shui and whitewater kayaking.

There are dark/light colours in the buildings which is also traditional of his work to add movement, texture and character. Notice the container effect created with the green outlines and, of course, the curious dogs that are very symbolic of Wilmer.
