Collection: Hal Bavin Photography

Hal moved to the Columbia Valley with his parents in 1921 when he was 8 years old.  He made a living as a carpenter and contractor, but he also was a photographer.  Hal won many awards for his photography both nationally and internationally.  His photography was shown at the Brussels World Fair in 1958.

Hal passed away in 1982.

The Hal Bavin photographic collection is held in the Windermere Valley Museum in Invermere, BC. A portion of the sale of these prints will be donated to the museum.  These prints are made by Hal’s grandson, Ryan Bavin, by creating a digital copy of the original negative.
